Hype Enlite Energy Drink - Retail Price: $1.50 per can
Size: 8.4 oz
Taste: 7.5/10
Price: 8.5/10
Energy Level: 6/10
Hype Enlite is an energy drink designed to give you energy without the calories, with only 10 calories per 100 ml you can drink with confident. Hype Enlite comes in a hot pinkish red 8.4 oz can with a unique plant background design that seems to burst out with energy. The color of its liquid is light pink and slightly carbonated for a more refresh taste.
Hype Enlite taste similar to RedBull but with a slight sweet cranberry taste, follow by a light sour after taste. Overall the flavor is better than average because it doesn’t have a bad after taste and isn’t overwhelmly sweet. Energy is powered by guarana, ginseng, taurine, caffeine and B vitamins.
I’m not a big fan of hot pink but the way Hype designed this energy drink fits well with the color. This is probably one of the few pink energy drinks that I wouldn’t mind bringing along with me because the design looks hot and elegant.
Overall, Hype Enlite is an energy drink that I can drink over and over again because it is not too sweet and doesn’t have a bad after taste. I was a little disappointed at its energy level, it didn’t kick in as hard as the regular Hype energy drink. After an hour of waiting for the energy rush to kick in, I gave up because the other energy ingredients were disappearing too.
Hype Enlite is an energy drink for people who likes great taste without the calories and the insane sugar rush that you get with some other energy drinks. Hype Enlite is not recommended for people who are sensitive to caffeine, children and pregnant women.

Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review
Well it has been quite some time since I had the opportunity to review a Hype Energy Drink but the last one I reviewed, Hype MFP was more than pleasing. So today I am going to give the Hype Enlite a try and see if it holds up to the high standards of the rest of the lineup. Now I may not be Hype Enlite's target audience as the 8 ounce can is pink and seems to be targeted at the female gender, but I am going to give it a try anyways. Besides having only 25 calories for the entire can will give me a break from the normal 100-200 calorie Energy Drinks that I normally have. This beverage also seems to support breast cancer awareness through youth projects. Well enough fluff and onto the review.
Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review: Taste
I thoroughly enjoyed all the past Hype Beverages and the same goes for the new Hype Enlite. This new one seems to have a berry flavor, maybe raspberry with a hint of cranberry. Not exactly sure on the berry flavor but the combination is quite refreshing and the level of carbonation seems to be spot on. I really did not taste any bitterness as this drink seems to be more on the sweet side, but not too sweet like some Sugar Free Energy Drinks that use too much artificial sweetener. I myself personally liked the original and MFP Hype flavors a little better, but taste is subjective. Either way Hype Enlite is a great addition to the lineup and the taste is something to be proud of. Taste Rating - 9.1
Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review: Kick
Alright the taste is very refreshing, but how does the kick hold up. Well there is 80 milligrams of caffeine, 1000 milligrams of taurine and a bunch of b-vitamins that when coupled together give a healthy kick. Now the kick is not going to be one of the strongest on the market, but it is more than enough to get the job done. The sugar free aspect of this beverage also means that you are not going to get a energy crash an hour or two down the road. The energy just tapered off slightly over about a 4 hour time span which is pretty decent. Kick Rating - 8.8
Hype Enlite Energy Drink Review: Final Judgment
Hype has been around since 1994 and you can see this in their energy lineup. Before this drink I reviewed two of their previous products (Original & MFP), both ended up being instant favorites. While the Hype Enlite may not be targeted specifically at me, the drink lives up to the Hype standard and I would highly recommend picking one up and giving it a try as it should be well worth the $1.50. Final Judgment - 9.0

Hype MFP
Energyfanatics.com Review:
Hype MFP Energy Drink - Retail Price: About $1.50 per can
Size: 8.4 oz
Taste: 7.5/10
Price: 8.5/10
Energy Level: 8.5/10
Out of all the Hype energy drinks I reviewed, this one is by far my favorite because of the taste and the burst of energy it gave me. Hype MFP comes in a 8.4 oz can and is wrapped with a carbon fiber texture. The texture reminds me of the carbon fiber hoods you see on high performance race cars. On top of the carbon fiber texture is the bold-chrome “HYPE” letters that angles to the right giving it a racing style feeling.
The MFP version taste similar to Redbull with a slight sour-candy-tart taste. The only thing about the taste that kind of bugged me is the aftertaste, which taste somewhat like bitter lime juice. The color of the liquid is slightly yellow and is carbonated for extra refreshment. Hype MFP also has a strong smell from the added taurine and vitamins, kind of reminds me of herbal drinks but I’m glad it doesn’t taste like one.
Price is cheaper than most energy drinks, depending if you buy it as a bundle or by itself, it cost about $1.50 - $2.00 per can.
Energy boost comes from guarana, ginseng, glucuronolactone, taurine, lots of caffeine and vitamins. I was surprised how much energy this drink gave me. Whithin 10-15 minutes after drinking the energy drink, I felt a body and energy head buzz that kept me energized for about an hour.
Overall, Hype MFP is great when it comes to its energy level. If you are planning road trips or going out late, make sure you bring this energy drink along because it will kick you wide awake. I don’t recommend this energy drink for people who are sensitive to caffeine and sugar because it gave me a slight headache after drink it. Maybe because I drank it too fast!

Hype MFP
Taurinerules.blogspot.com Review:
When I heard of Hype MFP, I wondered what MFP stood for. I tried to get my brain around it for awhile and finally came up with more f------ power. If that’s the case it’s a brilliant name. Hype MFP Energy takes that great name and mixes it with a sweet can. The 8 oz. black can goes for a simulated mesh look. It retains the basic elements of the original Hype can, but adds the dark color and silver contrast. The people at Hype have done a fine job on this one. I’ve been looking for Hype Gold for a long time as well and recently found out that Hype MFP replaces Hype Gold. The new name is definitely improvement on Hype Gold.
Hype MFP has a yellowish, caramel color that seems a tiny bit darker than the original Hype. The taste is a great modest variation on the original Hype. Hype MFP comes across as more of a strong sour berry. There are definitely hints of vanilla to this new Hype energy drink that provide a little depth on the sour berry flavor. Hype MFP blends a strong, but not overwhelming sweetness to this sour berry and it comes across as clean with no noticeable aftertaste or cloying flavor. I also like the fact that Hype MFP is trying to add more power and does so without adding any bitterness to the mix.
Hype MFP ups the ante from the original Hype with some additional power. I found that the kick I got from Hype MFP lasted about 2 hours longer than the original Hype and has a slightly higher intensity. Therefore Hype MFP definitely lives up to the MFP moniker. In terms of ingredients each 8 ounce can of Hype MFP comes with 100 calories, 25 grams of sugar, taurine, glucuronolactone, caffeine, sugar, ginseng, guarana, inositol, and B Vitamins.

Hype Enlite, Natural Health Product. This can contains a profuse amount of text. The colors are a fashionable pink-on-pink, with bold silver reflective letters that are outlined in stark white. This is a must have 2008 fashion accessory or something. The can contains some ornate drawings, within the pink-on-pink business. The following are items I was able to identify within the drawing: Cupid, Hype can, Sumo Wrestler, reindeer, butterfly, star, topless woman with her hands in her crotchral region (no, that's not a typo, I said, "topless woman with her hands in her crotchral region" Yes, prepubescent boys, run out and find "Waldo"), mermaid, and a goose. I'm going to rush this can right over to Nocholas Cage and see if he and Disney can squeeze another National Treasure movie out of it. As for the text, "Enlite yourself with only 10 calories". Recommended use: Developed for periods of increased mental and physical exertion. Helps temporarily restore mental awareness or wakefulness when experiencing fatigue or drowsiness. Contains 1.5 carbohydrates per 100ml. Recommended Dose (adults): Drinks 250ml (1 can) 1 to 2 times, as needed. Cautions: Contains caffeine, not recommended for children, pregnant or breast feeding women, caffeine sensitive individuals or to be mixed with alcolhol. Do not consume more than 500ml per day.

Angie's Review: Reviews posted after May 2007 are written by a guest reviewer referred to from this point forward as "The Stig".
Hype has made another drink that's pretty good. This tastes a lot like Hype MFP, but since it's sugar free, it's better for you, and tastes about the same. Leaps and bounds better than Red Bull Sugar Free. This is the first Energy Drink I'd classify as "Strong enough for a man, made for a woman", (I know, they changed that slogan to "Strong like a woman", but you're not writing the review, are you?) Anyway, what I mean is, all the other drinks are cotton candy flavored, or sunshine and watermelon. This really tastes like a serious "release the hounds" energy drink, and it's got a reasonable smattering of energy ingredients as well, even though I think Emeril would agree, you can always kick it up another notch.
This is also a reasonable buy, at 3/4 of the price for the same amount of soda as Red Bull's Sugar Free offering, I'd say this energy drink wins, because it's strong like a woman. There, are you happy? I said it.

7Jason's Review:
The can makes me miss the Powerpuff Girls. It's so covered in adolescent female vigor, once I thought I saw Aileen Wuornos in the can reflection. With only 80 mg of caffeine, I can't say that it's a raging torrent of man hate, but it's enough to muster up a consequential kick in the junk.
This has a pleasant taste with a tart bite to it, like Hype MFP. I enjoy the flavor, and also enjoy that the 10 calories in Hype Enlite help me maintain my schoolgirlish figure. This is a genuinely tasty feminine energy drink, which I believe to easily be on par with Go Girl Energy Drink and Damzl Fuel. I personally believe the taste is better than either of the aforementioned.
At $1.50, this is definitely a good buy, particularly if you're a girl watching her calorie intake; a man who wants to be a girl, who also is mildly concerned with his carbohydrate intake; or a man that used to wear his sister's clothes around and play inappropriately in her Barbie pool when noone was home, but eats cheese and cinnamon buns with reckless abandon. In retrospect, maybe this drink is just for everyone.

BevNET Review: Packaging: 250 ml can Hype's Enlite variety is an energy drink that features a somewhat standard looking energy cocktail that has been sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, ace-k, and sucralose. The result is a drink that has only 10 calories, but still maintains a moderately natural sweetness and only a mild aftertaste. Between the pink color of the can and fluid and the floral backdrop that covers the package, it seems like this would likely be a drink targeted at the female consumer. Overall, the combination of enjoyable taste and clean packaging are a plus, but Enlite seems to lack anything that really stands out, especially given where the category is today. Hype Energy X2 Packaging: 500 ml (16 oz) can We've always liked Hype's light berry-citrus flavor and now that it has been put in a 16 oz can, we figured it's time to take another look. Using a formula that contains fruit juice and is sweetened with sugar, Hype X2 has the same great cotton candy-like taste as the original. The addition of the 16 oz can is quite nice and the "X2" name gives the product a look and feel that works. Also, in a category of this size, we definitely appreciate the clean and minimalist design of this product. Overall, we like it a lot -- good looking and a formula that one can actually consume quite easily. MFP Energy Packaging: 8.3 fl oz Hype’s MFP, which apparently stands for “Most Full Power,” is an energy drink whose biggest asset is the clean and modern design on its can. The flavor is pretty run of the mill, with a bubble gum / berry flavor that isn’t terribly pleasant to drink. The branding of “MFP” is rather meaningless, especially since the acronym isn’t explained anywhere on the can. Plus – and we simply don’t understand this – the “most powerful formula” has what appears to be a standard amount of caffeine (80mg). Overall, we’re sorry to say that this is a relatively unimpressive product. Hype Classic Packaging: 8.3 fl oz Hype Classic is the new version (not old) of Hype Energy Drink. Featuring a great combination herbs (including ginseng) and other potent ingredients (guarana, taurine, & caffeine), this product is one that will definitely give you a boost. Not to mention that it is packed with vitamins -- including 25% RDA of Vitamins B1,B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, E,C, Folic Acid and Biotin. Finally, it actually tastes great -- which is more than we can say about a lot of their competition. Overall, a great energy drink that is definitely worth a try. |
